Ooredoo Announces New CEO and Dr. Hannoun to lead Wataniya Telecom in Kuwait

Ramallah, Palestine, 31 July 2012: Ooredoo Palestine Mobile Telecommunications Public Shareholding Company (“Ooredoo”, Ticker: “WATANIYA” at the Palestine Exchange) today announced that Mr. Fayez Husseini has been appointed as CEO.

Dr. Bassam Hannoun, the previous Chief Executive Officer of Ooredoo will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer of Wataniya Telecom (National Mobile Telecommunications Company K.S.C. – Ticker: NMTC). The Board of Ooredoo is grateful to him for his leadership where he was responsible for the successful IPO and growth of operations.

Mr. Fayez brings to the position near twenty years of extensive regional and industry experience having worked in the telecommunications industry in both Oman (FRiENDi Group) and Palestine telecommunications sector .He also has a wealth of management and leadership expertise having held increasingly senior financial, commercial and business development roles in the financial and technology sectors. Mr. Fayez has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from the American University, Washington DC.

Mr. Fayez Husseini, will start his new position as the new CEO of Ooredoo Palestine in the coming short period.
